On behalf of the Tournament Committee and Staff, Dennis and I would like to say thank you to the players, coaches and spectators for making this year’s event the best so far! We had great competition and fun. In addition to the play, the atmosphere was electric! Thanks to the Virginia Beach Field House for hosting the event. The venue is surely one of the most impressive in the entire United States. We appreciate all of the food collected for the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia.

We want to send a special thank you to the Next Level Academy, XL Soccer World and Soccer Sisters teams that travelled from North Carolina. Their presence was felt as they really showed us how the indoor game should be played.

Congratulations to all of the winners and finalists! We wish all the best to the teams travelling to Nationals later this winter and spring. Finally, we want to thank Futbolr for enhancing the weekend with music, great product and a personal touch regarding the awards ceremony. • Be of average playing ability (hint, hint)

The National Indoor Soccer Championship consists of regional and national final tournaments. Regional tournaments serve the competitive soccer community with teams traveling from all states to compete in regional competition. National finals draw the best teams from all areas of North America.  In 2008, a relationship was formed between USIndoor (visit www.usindoor.com) and the National Indoor Soccer Championship to enhance the reach of the only true national indoor competition. As these two vital organizations pool their efforts, there is an assurance of thrilling regional and national tournaments that will be the landmark of every competitive indoor team in the nation.

The National Indoor Soccer Championship runs regional championships in every region of North America. So, no matter where you are located, there will be a tournament near you to attend. The teams that participate in regionals will have an awesome opportunity to play against the nation’s best in the national finals. The top teams in the USA, Canada & Mexico have competed in the championship each year. It is now far and away the largest and most prestigious youth and adult indoor tournament in the world. Many traditional powerhouse clubs compete each year. Included are just a few of the clubs that have previously won a National Indoor or Outdoor Soccer Championship. These include Vardar SC (MI), Michigan Wolves & Hawks SC (MI), Excalibur (OH), Central Penn Alliance (PA), Kansas City Legends SC (KS), South Shore Select (MA), Next Level Academy (NC), Cleveland Cobras (OH), Erie FC (OH), Lou Fusz (MO), Chicago Blast (IL), Team America (VA), and Midwest Wings (IL).

The National Indoor Championship offers virtually every conceivable age division: boys and girls U8 through U19 teams will compete at the regional and national level (USYSA age groups).

Division I boys and girls high school age groups will play their national finals in Philadelphia, Jan 15th through 17th. This will be held in conjunction with the NSCAA College Coaches Convention, thousands of college coaches will be in town!

Men’s, women’s, and coed open divisions and men’s and women’s over 30 also compete in regional tournaments.

Men’s U23, men’s over 40, women’s U23, women’s over 40 and coed over 30 are offered only at the national

level (teams in those age groups sign-up directly for the National Finals).  For the 2nd consecutive year, the national finals for men’s open, women’s open, and coed open will be held in Las Vegas!
